Bill Foley is the Executive Chairman of LPS, which provides mortgage loan processing, as well as mortgage-related information products and outsourcing services for financial institutions, mortgage lenders and real estate professionals. LPS processes more than 50 percent of all U.S. residential mortgages.
Bill serves on educational institutions and philanthropic organizations in California and Jacksonville, FL. He also serves as an advisory board member for The University of Washington School of Law and The Hutton Foundation. In addition, he serves Chapman University School of Law both as a member of the Dean's Council and as an Endowed Chair of the William Foley Chair in Corporate Law & Taxation. He and his wife, Carol, have four children and are active philanthropists in many other causes, especially those in support of children's education.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1967, after which he served in the U.S. Air Force and attained the rank of Captain. He also received an M.B.A. degree from Seattle University and attended the University of Washington, School of Law, where he earned his J.D. degree in 1974.
